Once a mining town, the resort area of Schladming is a playground for expert skiers and snowboarders. Four interlinked mountains feature world-class runs and exquisite off-piste opportunities. When the sun goes down, the slopes heat up with night skiers looking to keep their adrenaline pumping after hours.
The city and its surroundings offer activities for people of all interests and ages. River hiking, paragliding, an excellent golf course, wine tasting, museums, bars, kids programmes await apart from the marvelous scenery and skiing opportunities.
In front of the house goes the famous Wilde Wasser Weg tourist route that you can explore by walking or by bike. An easy walking trail leads along the Ruetz and offers always great views of the white water.
The ski area includes 2 Ski Resorts with a combined total of 197km of downhill skiing, with 41 marked pistes, served by a total of 45 ski lifts. The appropriate Lift Pass allows you to ski or snowboard in either of the ski areas of Ramsau am Dachstein and Schladming.
We are a family with origin from Hungary living in the house with 2 children and a small dog. We started with Chalet Janer in 2021. We are kind and open people. We love the place we chose to live in and would happily show our guests the beauty of this region.
